we went visiting damian. After that went study.

Arnd half way, vann brought out guitar. We started worshipping God there and then.

Really, indeed, presence of God was there. Was really powerful really cool! (: we pretended to be small cell grp.. Vann -> cell grp guitarist.. Vicks -> cell grp leader.. was super cool! really, found joy in worshipping our Lord.. it was awesome. Presence of God was there and we juz dwell in His presence. Rocks! (: Also, opened my (victor) eyes. Learnt the different hand signals and how to flow with the Spirit.

It was really great to worship God and to dwell in His presence. Also showed me a verse come true. That when two or more are gathered in His name, He will be there. Doesn't matter if its just the few of us, or whether we are just cell group members.

Really showed me, it doesn't matter who we are, or where we are, or what we're doing, indeed when two or more gathered together, God's presence will indeed be there. It was joyful and great worshipping our God even amidst our studying for O/A/promos.. Praise the Lord! (:

HI e348! how are you guys?

This entry is basically just to thank all of you guys for the big surprise during cgm on 4th March 2006. It'll be remembered for a long long time to come. A very big Thank You to all of you guys out there. It's really my blessing to have known you guys and even having you guys as brothers and sisters in Christ. I can't wait to see you guys again and again and again. More outings and fellowship!

Hope that everyone will continue to grow strong and have even stronger faith in God. Fulfil your promises and He will fulfil His promises with you, yea? And remember that there is nothing such as "You can't". Because with God, all things are possible. Amen!

For you guys who haven't subscribed to Dr Robb Thompson's Daily Success Key, he says, "You Change Your Life By Changing Your Choices." What kind of choices would you like to make in life? Choices will determine your Life and this means your life as a Christian as well. Will you step out and rise up to where you are called? Or just remain stagnant, or even backslide? Will you accept the responsibility being placed upon you and accomplish tasks that require great commitment and discipline? Will you accept the responsibility even when you know there are risks and obstacles to overcome? All these are choices you have to make. Whether or not your life will be fruitful depends on a whole load of choices you make. Make your choices wisely and pray for divine wisdom to decide. From then on, you can move on to greater things in life as a strong Christian.

Hi my deearest, most awecredible E348!

Just want to say it has been really encouraging reading all your entries. Every time I read them, it just makes me want to love God and serve Him so much more, because I know I am serving God alongside one of the most amazing bunch of people!

After reading your entries, thought of sharing what God has been speaking to me through the message that Pst Ulf preached about 'seasons'. A word that God has been implanting in my spirit is the word 'battle'. I believe that God is raising up a strong army who are not just going to stand around waiting for the enemy to strike before they start to get worried and respond, but the word of God says we are to wage the good warfare, and we really want to be ready in season for it. No doubt battle may seem like a scary thing on surface view(who likes to fight?), but the word of God also ensures that the battle is ours, and victory will always be ours! I'm excited, because when I encounter more battles, it simply serves as an assurance of the greater victories peeking out from behind them! Remember guys, our battles are in the hands of the Lord, so let's be strong and arm ourselves to approach the battlefield, stand on the frontline and wage a good warfare!

Isa 59: 19 says "when the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him." This is one of my favourite verses that I really want to share with you. We are the standard bearers, and the things we do will be greater and more powerful than in the past. Remember I was sharing that the things we do(including our giving) must always be progressive in nature? Likewise, let's move up and on(saints, you will identify with these words) to the next level!

The season for the church is really for soul-winning, and we are an army that moves together. Let's make a difference in Singapore, in our schools, and be the light that shines. Really believe with all my heart that all of you have enormous potential to make things happen, all you have to do is consecrate your lives and set it apart to be used by God! Job 17:9 says that "yet the righteous will hold to his way, and he who has clean hands will be made stronger and stronger". So to those of you out there who have been setting your time and lives apart to God, be encouraged! Your breakthrough is on the way! Pray for it! =)

Lastly, on an ending note, remember the seed that we plant in our friend's hearts and in the kingdom of God is eternal. The fruit may not be staring you in the face now, but one day, it will come. It will explode so great that you cannot imagine! Just keep ploughing, sowing, and keep on keeping on!

*ahem* finally, my first post on the cg blog.. =) anyways, im looking forward to this week's men's meeting, and the basketball session if i can get a good headcount of ppl coming. and not forgetting the sisters too! use this chance to work out too yea? and i'll try to post and share more often next time. =D

anyways, as some of you know, im going in army on march 9th. *sobs* will definitely miss services, cgm and bible studies. will miss the great atmosphere of praise & worship we get every week. but thinking of it again, great atmosphere for praise & worship can come from our own daily quiet time and even our bus journeys. the power can just rain down anywhere @ anytime. i'm sure you guys experienced it before right? so we should build our own worship altar in our hearts, guard it well and it shall be a place of great significance when we want to seek God.

And i want to share that we do not want to seek God at our downtimes and dark times only. We should be in daily intimate relationship with him, know him as a close friend and confidante. Share our joys with Him too. As our Heavenly Father, He will be happier than us if we rejoice in Him. However, during times when we are down and out, we should be ever ready to give him a sacrifice of praise & worship too.

Psalms 105 : 3 - 4, says..

3 : Glory in His Holy Name ; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
4 : Seek the Lord and His strength ; Seek His face evermore!

As i'm going to ns soon, this 2 verses will definitely play a part in my life. And i do hope that you guys can seek God no matter how bad your circumstances are.

heyys good morning everybody!
it's been a long time since the last post! what's everybody doing!? why make this blog so dead?!!!!! let's make full use of this blog to encourage each other and communicate also during the days when we cannot meet up! =)

i just came back from prayer meeting and it was really a prayer meeting! with no preaching, no nothing but just constantly praying for 2 hours and standing up! now i know how tired it is for the people who goes for overnight prayer meeting. though it was tiring, the prayers stirred our spirits up and made us want to pray even more and more and more. we're just like drawing even nearer to God while speaking in tongues and all the constant prayers and strong desires of us is as though we're asking God, all that we want face to face. haha. u can feel it with the presence of God in the audi. to me, i think the presence was very different from what i felt in all praise and worship times. this is like God is in our midst listening to us even more clearly and reveal solutions and revelations to the people everywhere whereas during worship sessions, most of the times, its the tangible presence of God and His love that come to touch our hearts, right? most of us prayed until our voice got hoarsed yet there was an even stronger desire to go further into the supernatural realm, to breakthrough, to receive God's confirmation directly.

basically, prayer meeting is different from doing quiet time at home. its easier to breakthrough and sensing God's presence! i really enjoyed every minute of it! God is wonderful! C'mon people! i encourage more of you all to join in for prayer meetings cos we want to be strong warriors for Christ and also be closer to God right?

Also, today we celebrated valentine's day with the cell group! everyone had a present! (too bad for those who didn't come! haha...no lahs!) thanx for the love and friendship that the cell group has given to me! i feel so blessed to be with u guys! happy friendship week! hahas...

by the way, today's prayer meeting we prayed largely about the growth of our church, or rather cell group and spiritual growth for us to be strongly equipped to serve God mainly. u can spend your QT praying about these 2 important things! the rest are like praying the mission trips, bible school students, pastor kong and his family and also praying for the sick! do take care of yourselves becuz we need to be strong and healthy to serve God! Amen? =)

Hello E348! Nice layout!

It definately had been the work of God that brought me back to CHC. I was introduced to the Lord when I was in Sec 3 by some close friends of mine who were attending CHC. That was at the really old place at paya lebar. I didn't really like the environment and maybe because I was pretty stunned that the people were speaking in a different language (tongues). Naturally, I would feel pretty awkward. That was in addition to my friends constant pushing me to attend church when I didn't like the environment of the place. (it was in the past..) but at one point, I took an interest and actually brought Debbie to CHC with me.

So for the past years till now, I visited the new church at jurong with the same group of friends, went to my boyfriend's church, Presbyterian Church at YCK for a year and now i'm back here at CHC. And now after all these years, I'm back here to worship the Lord and also to learn more about him and the bible. It's a pity that I'm leaving soon but I'm sure God has a plan for me when I'm over at Brisbane. Well, It's just 1 year and it'll pass by real fast. One of my 2006 resolutions is to be a good christian and I do really need some help in that area. (for your info, the place where I'll be staying in Brisbane. The family has a dad who's a pastor and I'm sure he'll be a great help in helping me along the path to eternity.)

I'll just take this opportunity to thank my great little sister, Debbie, for bringing me back to this holy sanctuary.

HAhas, believe that everybodi of us had a wonderful time yest of thanksgivings,fellowship and praising God too!!:)Believe tat last yr we had our fair share of happy moments, sad moments and memorable ones and well, as we begin to move on wif lives, we hardly notice that bt when we begin to look back at the yr, we will realised that so much things have happen!I feel that yest as we begin to thank God for the everything He has done for us, indeed His love has filled us so abundantly throughout the whole year and i know that everyone of u all felt the tagible presence of God and His love when we began to sing songs to Him.

Well, new yr is gonna be grt and exciting, so lets us begin to set goals so that we can achieve them throughout the year. When we look back on the goals that we have achieved, we can thank God for giving us the power to achieve that, but for the goals that we have not achieved, mayb we can pick up a lesson from this and set this goal again in this new yr and belivee God again to make it happen!!:D For me, i fail to achieve the goal in terms of studies and soul winning, but i tink we shld nv give up bt go all the wae to see the goal make it happen!!:D

For those having As and Os, this yr will be super hectic and challenging!!Mayb we will find that we may not have much time as others to fellowship or have fun, yet in this period we can serve God in a great wae by discipling ourselves and study hard to bring glory to His name!! By putting God above others and wanting to do His will, u will realise that it wil not be so diff to study hard for He will give u wisdom and strength to achieve His will, so lets us be a grt testimony to HIm and the people ard us yea??:D

Hahas, hope this yr will even be greater for everyone of us and of cos for e348, well wad can i sae, wad a grt cg is e348 where ppl r so united and determined to run the race wif each other!!So proud of this cg and of cos, let e348 be a shining light upon the whole world!!:D:D

My pondering has led to this:

Jesus died for our sins. We know this. It is central to our doctrine and Christian or not, we can respect the fact that one man sacrificed himself for not only another, but for the whole world. That is a noble act.

My question is this:

If one is cogniscent of his sins, and he (furthermore) realizes that by sinning he may in fact be helping another, wouldn't he be following in Jesus' footsteps?

I realize that this is a VERY far-fetched assumption to make. I also realize that very few of you have considered what I would call a modern-day Jesus.

I just want to make the point that maybe the Second Coming isn't the firestorm that you believed it would be. Maybe it's simply a man who is in full recognition of the fact that not only is he sinning, but by sinning he is helping another.

I believe we can all learn from the Bible. This is not a thread aimed at disproving the Book of Revelations. This is a thread simply posing an alternative and I would like your humble opinion.

I'm Roxy, . I am a Bible believing literal Genesis creationist, basing my beliefs on scripture and science (empirical science, not evolutionary theories).

I speak sarcastically often, so don't anybody be offended, I'm just having fun, no harm intended.

I like to keep my arguments to the basic things. Evolutionists do not like this because that shows that their theory wouldn't be accepted by Mother Goose or Grimm's Fairy Tales. Evolutionists like to talk over everybody's head so they appear to know something.

For example, if you believe in evolution, you eventually have to allow for "Spontaneous Generation" which has been proven by EMPIRICAL and TESTABLE SCIENCE to be a greater folly than Mohammar Khaddafi declaring war on the U.S.!

In plain language, to believe in evolution, that all life had a common ancestor, and that life formed from non-life, you MUST believe that YOU came from a ROCK! You gotta have ROCKS in your head to believe that! Must be STONED!

Not only that, but you must believe that ALL LIFE ultimately came from a ROCK. You must believe that NOTHING became something (all by itself!), and that something eventually became a rock, and then the rock eventually became alive (also all by itself!). That takes more faith than the Bible account could ever require.

Now, I can handle discussion of things like the fact that amino acids required for the production of viable proteins must be optically pure with the correct laevorotary chirality, when they instead always form in alternating laevorotary and dexterotary chiralities, and only a living cell can make them into racemates. But somebody will answer this with more $500 words, and practically nobody will know how impossible this proves evolution is on a cellular scale.

To conclude my initial post, I'll say that the fairy tale of evolution (any theory of it) must violate several proven, empirical, scientific LAWS (like the LAW of Conservation of Angular Momentum, the Inverse Square LAW, the LAW of Conservation of Matter and Energy, the LAW of Entropy, etc. etc. et al, ad nauseam ...). It cannot take place by NATURAL means. If it could happen, it must require SUPER-NATURAL means, That puts you right smack into the middle of Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God CREATED the heaven and the earth." Evolutionists cannot get past the first verse of the Bible! Evolution is a bigger joke than a Three Stooges festival! It is NOT SCIENCE, it is a RELIGIOUS BELIEF requiring more FAITH than the Bible has ever needed in 4000 years.

hello hello my fellow members!! its been a long time since i updated u guys! and i have sooo much to share!! to all those hu went to teh prayer mtg at expo last nite.. it was great wanst it?? wow. i could reallie feel the power of GOd moving. remember during debrief sis jialing was sharing w us how she felt God speaking to her dat some of us hu are looking for jobs would be getting a call the next morning for job offers? guess what! lawman called me dis morning asking me whther i wanted to work! previously, dey werent giving me any jobs to do and the onli timeslots they gave me usually clash with my church commitments, and so i have to turn them down. but today wen they called me i was able to arrange w them for timeslots dat wun clash and they gave me more hours to work! indeed wen u begin to seek the kingdom of GOd, all his righteousness will be added unto u! and these were the words pastor spoke last nite and it is so true in my life! and it can be in ur lifes too!! and even better still, i received blessings frm a relative just wen i reached home! isnt dis wonderful? and i was still worried earlier cos i was afraid dat i wouldnt be able to fulfill my building fund, but once again.... GOD has shown himself as jehover jireh, my provider! I believe that if we belive in what we pray for, it will happen in our lives if its under the will of GOD... NEVER doubt the power of PRAyer! and i can say all this, becos i have experinced GOd time and again... as a God that is alive and hears our cries!

Hi sisters and brothers! today's svc was great, ain't it.. i could really relate many parts of my life with hers.. quite revelant to us too! abt finding God's love.. I feel that that part really relates to my own experience.. initially i didn't really know what was love and why shld i love God.. but when God's love came into my life.. the ans to those qns is really quite irrevelant.. i juz feel that my whole life shld juz be spent on loving God.. my Daddy in heaven.. i felt the same way as robin last time, not knowing what love was.. well, now i do, and i'm glad i do.. i feel we really have got to spread the love of our heavenly Father around.. let more people experience His love.. for His love is seriously all in abundance and abounding.. of cuz we muz gratify Jesus who died on the cross.. so that we may love Him back and can form a relationship with the One who loves us so much!

Also, today's water baptism day!! really wanna thank you guys for being there for me.. Thank God i'm in such a great cell grp.. the experience was really worth it.. juz wanna think of it over and over again since my way home after svc.. thank you guys E348!! and rock on guys! =)

Hi zoed- revivalists!

just want to firstly say a HUGE thanks to all who have been praying for me for my exams in the past 2 weeks! its finally over, PTL, and i believe i have done well, but not without the prayer of u guys! (those who didn't pray, repent in the name of Jesus! haha..)

anyway, finally there is so much more time to spend fellowshipping with you guys and breaking through to the next level! i am so excited to move to expo, because i know that when there is a move physically to a new level, there is also a move in the spiritual realm to the next level. And as we all know, new level, new devils! I am excited because i know this will separate the people who truly are FOR God and are strong enough to fight these new devils and emerge triumphant! Let's not be in the minority who are weak (i.e. lem-bek)! i know e348 is filled with people who are all for laying down their lives 100% for God, so its time to get moving!

This is the LAST weekend we will spend at our dearest jurong premises, and let's really go all out to make a difference in the land we have been placed in. I'm sure the Tabernacle bible study has imbued in you guys a greater love for God through the 4 weeks, so let's not let it stop there. We are all called to be kings and priests, and we have to recognise this royal position that we have and take dominion and ownership to stand in the gap and bring the unsaved to God. The hands of the diligent will bring the glory of God upon their own lives, let's make the final week in Jurong West a breakthrough one. E348 will not depend on the rest, but we will be the ones who will fill up the seats, amen? How about filling up 3 full rows? =)

The way we end at Jurong will determine the way we start at Expo. Let's not wait for the usual people who will bring friends to do so, but we will be the one who will make a difference. I will be committed to contact as many people as i know how and not just contact, but put my heart into really wanting to bring them back. Especially for those of you who have not brought a single friend this year or seen your personal friend get saved, its time to lead a fruitful life from today on! Our faithfulness will really determine our fruitfulness, and we all want to do great things for God, so let's start with the Great Commission! Starts today yea? =)

I will be standing in the gap, inviting my friends and interceding in the spiritual realm. Who's game to join me in making a difference? =) Do keep me updated of any friends and personal testimonies yea? I want to be a part of the rejoicing!

Loving God for just who He is and not loving Him juz for His blessings!!:D Hey yo guys, believe tat all of ya have been extremely impacted by 2dae msg though it was short, bt came powerful and refreshing!! Well, it is v v impt tat we always love God for who He is and not what He can do for us, as i was reading a book on drawing near to God, the author quote an example about people of Israel!! When God told Moses to deliver them from Egypt, He asked the people to worship Him in the desert. So actuali wad happen is that Moses main aim is not to bring them to the promised land first, but to Mount Horeb where he first encountered God. Hence in here, we can see that we muz learn to love God first, or else we will end up loving his blessings more than the Blesser itself!!:D
Truly God uniquely created us aand what pst phil sae 2dae abt moving on wif Christ is always abt pain, so that thru pains He may show u more of His wills and mould u in the process for greater things to come!!:D

When we see the trials coming and when things are difficult, we must remember to hold on and not give up because the end result is so much greater than anything we could ever imagine.

Today might be a struggle for you…you may be in a hardship; but just look above the storm and you will see a God who will take you through the miry clay. We must step into the presence of God and begin to see our situation from heaven's viewpoint. It is quite different seeing problems through God's eyes. He has the ability to see a greater picture than we can.

Juz felt got to type this down.. whatever Christ tells you to do, even if you think you can't do it,juz trust in Him and it will be done.. Matthew 13:53-58.. the men in the verse represents our nature.. Christ in it represent Christ in all of us.. so, if you read.. juz becuz the men did not believe, Christ did not do miracles in His own homeland.. and in our case the homeland represents our very body.. so if we do not believe in what Christ tells us, miracles may not happen.. so.. start believing! =)

Todae, i watched the bible seminar, through the live webcast. I felt that it was veri gd as it was something close to my heart. Today, Pastor talked about our attitude towards God. He talked about how some ppl are arrogant while others are worshipping God. Our bodily actions send out messages to God. Sometimes, during worship, my mind tends to wander off and this is not very good.

Secondly, I have never cried during worshipping to God. Pastor say that all our tears will collected by God. I hope that my tears will be in gallons in the future and not in small bottles.

Thirdly, most of us do not dare step out of our comfort zone. I tink this has been emphasised in our cell group. We do not desire for more. We all should be like Elisha in the Bible, following Elijah, wanting for more, rather than to be contented with what he has. We also should be like Ruth, leaving her comfort zone and following Naomi.

Fourthly, most of us tends to criticize others. This is veri bad. I oso have this bad habit too. During singing competitions on TV, we may have critised people for their poor performance without realising their effort or their boldness to step up on stage. While watching dramas, we may criticise actors or actress about their poor acting skills, without realising how hard they worked. We tend to criticize people, without recognising their hard work they put in. No matter how bad they are, hey, at least they tried.

Most importantly, we should not criticise God or we may end up like the youths who criticized Elisha. There is this man who claimed that speaking of toungues is "the work of the devil". After that, he suddenly became veri solemn and serious. Later, he committed suicide in his room. Therefore, we should never say bad things about God.

Lastly, our daily prayer is very important. There was this man in India who started praying for 1 soul in India to be saved a day. By the end of the year, 365 people got saved. He prayed for more people to be saved and soon, more people in India were saved. Our Pastor also prayed for India to have a better government and soon the Congress took over. Hence, praying is very powerful. We can do great things through praying to God.

After this seminar, I felt that I should really change my attitude, towards God and other people, for the better and I also needed to make my emotions in sync with others. Can't wait for the bible seminar tomorrow. Even though its the same, but at least I will understand even more. =) (Btw, I agree with Victor, we should love God wholeheartedly and make Him a priority in our life.)

God really reads our heart! And He noes our heart's desire!
Ytd and today, i had been reading the gospel in the bible.. He mentioned about Jonah and i feel that this guy really attracts me.. so anyway, Jesus said that Jonah was in the tummy of a great whale for 3 days.. i recalled that story.. from young, i've read it countless times as bedtime story or sth.. anyway, wanted to find it in the bible lots.. so that i could read the bible version of the story (last time read children's version).. yepzz didn't know where it was.. really really wanted to ask sis z0e abt this.. den i decided to depend on God to show me His story.. den He showed me the book of Jonah.. didn't know there was such a book until God showed it to me...

Another thing that happened to me which i really wanna share.. today i was with my fren on the mrt.. he is an indian scholar from my school.. den while he was studying chem, i read the bible.. den suddenly he turned and asked me to show him the 10 commandments.. i kena shocked, cuz i dunno where it is in the bible.. den God began to work with my hands.. firstly i thot it had to be in exodus cuz it happened at that era.. den once i juz opened the bible, there it was! right in front of my face! w0w! that's God's works man!

btw, i was thinking abt what He said.. that whoever wants to follow Me muz carry the cross.. and deny Himself.. and whoever is not with Me is against Me.. i thot.. i wanna put God as first priority in my life.. but i've nvr done so before! i've nvr even placed anything as first priority in my entire life be4!! that's y i should start! this is a good start, a really good start, to place something as first priority in my life.. and i noe i won''t regret.. as God won't fail me, and God is the best thing to place my first priority on! =) so, from now onwards, he's the first and only first priority in my life man! =)

btw, pray that the Lord send His workers, for the harvest is plentiful! guys, time to start harvesting eh? for the harvest is riped and before the harvest spoil! =)

wow its certainly true that one learns something new every single day! (and very literally every single day) what's more? its not just something new, its more accurately many new things!

besides learning about the sanctuary and the table of showbread and about willpower and about teachers, i think the most impactful part of the bs for me personally was Pslams 66:12

hey guys!
posting aft the bs today.
it was really awesome..learning abt the table of showbread.
just looking forward to next wk's bs on the anointing of the holy spirit.
i believe that indeed our church is moving from glory to glory.
this is the season for us as members of the church to not just stay in our comfort zone but to step out in boldness to spread God's word. =)
very soon we will be moving to expo and i believe it will be great! i know that God already has a place for our church in the marketplace to penetrate into the marketplace.
so guys, lets not be passive in the things that we do but be willing and effective to God yeah?
i can really see our cg growing in not just quantity but quality as well.
i believe for greater unity within the cg and that we will pray for one another and begin to move in each other's lives.
oh yar, i would not be going for the trip to europe anymore cos i believe that God has a purpose for me to stay in singapore and has better things instored for me. =D

It actuali represents the Word of God as well as the will of God. throuhout the bs, pst keep on emphasing the importance of livin each dae wif new revelations and to be teachers of righteousness!! So glad that Charles mentioned abt context.. rmbr in the last cell grp msg, it was about speaking in tongues and why some churches are against it and why its right to speak in tongues? its all about context.. one thing i really agree with from that msg was that every single thing, no matter what verse or whatever, muz take context into account.. so when someone comes up to you and give you a verse or whatever, make sure you look at the context first hor.. =)

i've been learning plenty of stuff in the past few days (even tho i din attend sunday's svc.. sorry victor for making u bring ur laptop, but still i rest easy in the knowledge that my sunday afternoon was spent fruitfully at least.) as i was saying, i've learnt many things, and from these, have come to a conclusion that God is truely AMAZING and AWESOME. but the best thing is, now even my mum has taken a step towards Him.

i'll come clear on this. why i wassn't at svc on sunday was cos i'd promised my friend from my 1st 3 months class (janet u'll know him, tm) that i'd attend his church, a non-charismatic one (more precisely a church strongly against charismaticity, whatever that is), for that week. and so i did. and at their sunday school, heard a lesson about false teachers based primarily on matthew 23 (the pastor refering no doubt to churches), which i've since figured out does not really matter (not exactly does not matter.. just the idea i dunno how to say in words.. something like tt). was also lent this book called charismatic chaos by john macarthur which i'm reading (also since realised that not all arguments in the book are valid, for various non-factual reasons.) was also posed the qn: does faith come from understanding or does understanding come through faith? whatever it is, their stand is clear, that charismatic churches are 'deviant'. but i think neither side are wrong, and that its unfair to shoot down either without having first hand experience of both.

besides this i also had a little debate with the pastor about the gift of speaking in tongues (she was strongly against it). perhaps i did not learn the saturday cell grp's lesson that well? anyway, i've just read this: http://www.gotquestions.org/gift-of-tongues.html maybe someone can help me understand it better?

what made sunday fruitful, however, was coming to fully understand and appreciate what it really means to be a christian. but before i type out my thoughts on this, i wanna do some other stuff first. so, perhaps next time.

in all, on sunday i came to understand Jesus' and our part in the immense plan of God.

(i'm going off soon, so i cant share about monday now..)

now, monday.. with my current time sonstraint, suffice to say that i was at yet another church (not the one above, this 1s a charismatic 1, supporting chc in practice, whatever that means again), and there my mum took a teeny weeny little step towards getting saved, but still a step nonetheless =) =) =)!! there i also learnt about what looking in context really means (this i din understand fully from either chc nor the sunday church, though both used the idea to support their respective conflicting arguments....) i also learnt about the Word in general and the 'big picture' of God's plan and His scheme of things.. from the books of genesis all the way to revelations, and to see the 'big picture', everything must be viewed in context, and there are many different ways of viewing something in context... also learnt of this repeated pattern of:
people not living up to God's expectations -> judgement -> God's grace given
...being repeated at least four times throughout the bible, and that the present is a part of a cycle.

its friking Amazing la! learnt bout many other stuff too, but no time to type now. really gtg.

i need time to think and to pray and to read.

I thot i shld share with all of you.. the key is that you are always appreciated no matter how much you think you're not.. =) our works leave a trail which others will notice andappreciate.. even baddest criminal will still leave evidence, how much more will our good works leave trail.. so.. even if you do not notice that others notice your good works, they do.. =)

hi all! i tink today's service was reallie great and the word has indeed renewed my mind once again! today we learnt 5 important truths abt GLORY. but i tink what spoke to me most is GLORY is released by work! in fact i must admit that i have been postponing my application to work at lawman again and in fact sumtimes wen my mother discourages me from working i feel like just givin up too... and i begin to ask myself if this was what God really wanted me to do.... But today i felt that God was really speaking to me in the sense that i should stop 'seating ard the premises and waiting for the promises!' haha. in my case, it would mean to stop just talking about praying for fiancial breakthru but actually getting down to do something about it! To all those who are looking for jobs or are already working part time, lets just remember dis quote wenever we feel like quitting yea??

Also just wann to use this time to share wif u guys something my mum said to me recently that really made my day. there was one day where she came to me and said 'u r who u r today becos of ur church' haha now dun get me wrong. she meant this in a positive light.For those who knew me previously, i was never a leader in my group and i always thought that i was a born follower. But coming to city harvest has really changed my life. I learnt that God has called us to have dominion. to be leaders in our market place and what it really means to be the light of the world and salt of the earth! and gradually i saw for myself how i have changed...take for example, in my present project work group... although i was not the leader, but i learnt to take the initiative and become a problem solver, i became indespensable to the group and in a sense my 'value' increased. Indeed, like what pastor said today, a problem solver always have a higher value and Glory in heb.(kebod) is VALUE.

Really got to pray for those people who're going to find job out there.. its really tough ;)
Anyway, ytd went job hunting with elicia and kaiwen.. wha to bad elicia is 14, not old enuff to go work in part time store.. still, one of the store allows 14 yr olds to work there.. so she's trying her luck.. anyway, all pray for her, k, for her to be able to find her job, and for her genting trip, she's leaving today and returning on tuesday nite... =)

hey guys!

well i'm kinda new here so guess i dont have that much to say.. but yet there's still lots of stuff (i think.. later see how this turns out..)

since first stepping into CHC on 16th oct i've discovered and learnt lots of things, and many different kinds of things too..: knowledge on how to deal with the 7 lions in life, discovery of the presense of God, realisation of the power of an assembly of God, first reading of the Word of God from a bible, discovery of the Holy Spirit and the power of tongues, learning of God's plan of salvation and the 3 steps to reach Him, realisation of the relevance of the Word in daily life and in relationships, learning of the origins of the bible and how amazing it is that its without a single error from start to end, revelation that every little detail in the bible has relevant significance for all of us and that common sayings like Jesus being 'the way, the truth, and the life' have much deeper meenings than i previously thought. besides all these i've also realised how inspired the pastors are and how the cg is made up of such a great and united bunch of brothers and sisters. but, most important of all, i've been given the chance to accept Christ and God into my life.

for all these i gotta thank God for having me somewhere in His grand plan, victor for bringing me to chc and for being so great to discuss things with, royston n xinyi for being such excellent and engaging bs teachers, everyone in the cg for being there and for clarifying stuff for me, every single person whom i've met since coming to church (and in the past too) whove talked with me about christianity, and not to forget victor n princess adeline for creating this great site! (sorry my vocab abit limited, but great is great =) )

how true.. somehow i get the feeling that i learnt and felt much more in the past few weeks than in the entire year listening to lectures about physics, chemistry, maths and econs.. but not to say my school's tchrs (n the JC1 curriculum) are bad haha.. also feel more contented with life now than before.

hellooo to all! this my first time writing a post. or izit taggin?! i tried 2 tag jus nw but nth came up. sounds like d bible study was fun!! just felt that sunday service was impactful. relationships. to think about it, relationship is something very precious but so difficult to maintain. i think pastor kong is super great! he's sacrificed so much. 4 me it's even a struggle 2 pay up my pledge. d devil is attacking as my mum gives me lesser pocket money now. however i hope that this only serves to make me persevere. WHO says building fund is goin 2 b a breeze rite. take care everyone! truly he who sows and puts God first in mind would reap. let's run d race together. i'm proud of u.

hi all...

yep yep!! learnt loads of stuff from the BS... now also, when reading the Bible, i realise, every single number, colour material etc all is part of a large pic... i feel i really gain loads of revealations from the BS.. and also, got a wider pic of the journey of a Christian.. that every furniture has to be visited.. and also about the light.. its really cool.. last time also read about the 4 creatures with the four faces didn't understand.. finally now know that its the four facets of Jesus! so cool la.. anyway, got to attend the next lesson!! can't miss it for the world man! Cyer on Sunday!

Yesterday's bible seminar was great isn't it? I feel that we are really embarking on an adventure with God! There's just so many mysteries in the bible for us to uncover! I still remember last time I used to ask Xinyi what was the purpose of all those numbers and measurements in the old testament...and today, God has answered the questions! Hi history makers, here i am again!

Just want to share with you guys my revelation that I hope will be a blessing to you guys. As you all know, one of my greatest desires is really to be the best worship leader that I can be, that God can use as a vessel to share His love to the world. The church has been talking alot about moving up a whole new level in the way we can praise and worship Jesus, and I really want to be part of that too!

What really is the value of worship that we offer up to God? Is worship singing the beautiful hymns that we write? Is it the songs that we love to sing every weekend in church? Or what is the value we attach to worship? Worship is more than all that, but its really about how our lives are reflecting the love and glory of Jesus EVERYDAY. The psalmist David had a psalm to write to God everyday, be it thru the good or bad times of his life. Just as praise is vocal, our lives of worship as a living sacrifice should always SHOUT the name of Jesus, otherwise...it will just be a song, devoid of the anointing and presense of God.

Let's bring our worship up to a new level with Jesus today, and may our lives WORSHIP the one we love most EVERYDAY!
